Credit Suisse and Deutsche Bank will be excluded from the STOXX Europe 50

The operator of stock exchange index of the Deutsche Boerse group company, STOXX announced the decision not to take into account when calculating the STOXX Europe 50 stock quotes banks Credit Suisse and Deutsche Bank.

The decision will come into force on 8 August 2016. From this day Credit Suisse and Deutsche Bank will exclude from the list of 50 largest companies in Europe accounted for when calculating the STOXX Europe 50.

The reason for exclusion was a sharp fall in share prices of both banks. Since the beginning of the year, the shares of Credit Suisse have fallen in price by about 48%, and Deutsche Bank – by 49.5%.

Instead of shares of both banks in the calculation of the STOXX Europe 50 will be considered stock quotes Dutch manufacturer of microelectronics ASML and French holding Vinci construction.
