China overtook Russia by the number of working nuclear reactors. Thus, Russia and China shared fourth place among the countries with nuclear reactors. This is evidenced by the International atomic energy Agency (IAEA).
The number of nuclear reactors, as Russia and China, amounted to 35 devices.
According to Bloomberg, in June, China connected its 35th nuclear reactor to the grid and caught up with Russia by number of devices. In 2016, China connected four reactors. Also 20 nuclear reactors are in the process of construction. According to the Agency, by the end of the decade China will fight with France for second place.
The largest number of nuclear reactors in the United States — 100 devices. Second place went to France, where 58 nuclear reactors. In third place was Japan, which has 43 of the reactor.
