The IOC appointed the head of the special Commission on the admission of Russians at the Olympics

An independent Commission of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), which will make the final decision on the admission of Russian athletes for the Olympic games in Rio, headed by the head of the medical Commission Dr. Ugur. About it journalists were reported by the IOC President, Thomas Bach, reports “R-sport”.

Bach added that the Commission has already commenced work and will announce its decision until August 5. As we learned earlier, the Commission is composed of IOC member Juan Antonio Samaranch Jr., the head of the athletes Commission Claudia Bokel Dr. himself.

During the press conference, Bach also stressed that admission to the Games the Russian sportsmen have to go through the “triple filter”. The first two stages filter international sports federations and screenings ever convicted of doping athletes the Russians have already passed.

As of July 30, the number of the Russian Olympic team were 266 people. The Olympics will be held from 5 to 21 August in Rio de Janeiro.
