The Moscow district military court has denied reports that the jury will consider criminal case against the suspects in the murder of politician Boris Nemtsov. About it to Agency “RIA news” has told a press-the court Secretary Irina Zhirnova.
“The court has not yet taken such a decision. The defendants and their defense said today the petition for trial jurors, but the court until the decision thereon is not made”, — she said.
Earlier, Shamsudin cakaev, the lawyer of one of defendants in the case, told RBC that the trial against the accused in the murder Nemtsov will be held with participation of jurors. All five defendants did not admit their guilt. The defendants in the case are former fighter of the battalion “North” Zaur Dadaev, his relatives, brothers Anzor and Shadid Gubareva and Temirlan Eskerkhanov and Khamzat.
According to the investigation, they tracked down and killed Nemtsov late in the evening of February 27, 2015 on the Big Moskvoretsky bridge, when a politician back home.
Earlier in the day in the Moscow district military court began preliminary hearings on the case. The courthouse is surrounded by police around Riot policemen are standing. Supporters of Nemtsov on the queue are to picket near the court building and unfurl banners demanding to find the instigators of the murder and to question the head of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, says RBC.
