On Sunday, Ukraine held elections to the Rada. Vacant for various reasons, were seven seats. The election aroused great interest: seven of the mandates claimed by 378 people. According to preliminary data from the bloc of Petro Poroshenko (BPP) wins none of the candidates, but the victory can expect independent candidates, which the President’s party supported. In Chernihiv region after counting 72% of the vote in the lead supported by BPP the independent candidate Maksym mykytas, it is 32% of the vote. In the second place candidate from the opposition Batkivshchyna Yuriy Vlasenko.
Expect to win until maybe the candidate of Blok Petro Poroshenko in Ivano-Frankivsk region Sergey Nasalik, brother of Igor Nasalik whose transition to work in the government and triggered elections in the district. While Nasalik is the second: after counting 77% of the votes he’s got 19% of the votes, and the leader of the party DILL Viktor Shevchenko (21,29%). In third place Olga Sikora, of the Fatherland.
Batkivschyna can count on an additional two seats in Parliament after the elections. In the Poltava region is the leader Ruslan Bohdan, and in the Kherson region Yuriy Odarchenko. The lawyer of the Russian Alexander Alexandrov, Valentin Rybin, also standing in Kherson, while gaining 0.3% of the votes.

The President’s team relied on five mandates after the elections and the emphasis is on independent candidates, but so far we can predict that its candidates will receive two seats, says Ukrainian political scientist Vladimir Fesenko. The relative failure of the authorities he explains that on the ground many of the parties put forward strong candidates, the Fatherland in Kherson advanced popular ex-Governor Odarchenko. In the end, the coalition in the Parliament will not be significantly strengthened.
