The plane Boris Johnson made an emergency landing at Luton airport

The plane with the new head of the British foreign Ministry Boris Johnson flying to Brussels made an emergency landing at London Luton airport, reports the Guardian with reference to the representative of the diplomatic Department.

The plane with the diplomats was forced urgently to sit down for technical reasons, he explained. According to him, after a short delay, the foreign Minister continued his journey to Belgium “alternative means.”

Previously Johnson on his page on Twitter wrote that is on the way to Brussels and looking forward to meeting the head of European diplomacy Federica, Mogherini and other colleagues.

Sunday was a scheduled working dinner Mogherini and Johnson in Brussels. Monday, July 18, in the Belgian capital will host the meeting of the Council of foreign Ministers of member countries of the European Union, which will be attended by Johnson.

June 23, 2016 in the UK held a referendum which decided the issue on the country’s withdrawal from the EU.
