Two months Roskomnadzor withdrew more than 4 thousand “grey” SIM card

As a result of the measures to detect the illegal sale of sim cards of mobile operators during may—June 2016 Roskomnadzor withdrew 4250 “grey” SIM cards. This is the official website of the Department.

Roskomnadzor said that the event was held in conjunction with law enforcement. Two months was conducted 392 events throughout the country.

For 2016, was composed of 364 Protocol on administrative offences, some of which are drawn up under article 13.29 of the administrative code of the Russian Federation (conclusion of the contract on rendering of services of mobile telephone communications by an unauthorized person), and some — according to article 13.30 of the administrative code (failure to comply with requirements in the act by a person acting on behalf of the operator).

Events are held on behalf of the interdepartmental Commission on counteraction to extremism.

Previously “Interfax” reported about the upcoming changes in the rules of rendering of telephone communication services, prepared by the Ministry of communications of the Russian Federation. Changes needed to obtain greater opportunities to identify subscribers “grey” SIM cards.

According to the representative of the Ministry, future changes will affect so-called “cell farms” — dealers of unregistered sim cards that do bulk purchasing contracts with the mobile operators.
