FSB explained the visit of the editorial office of “Echo of Moscow”

The staff of the Federal security service (FSB) of Russia made a “seizure” of e-mail correspondence in the editorial office of the radio station “Echo of Moscow”. About it it is spoken in the Department message, received by RBC.

Criminal case is investigated on signs of the crime provided by article 280.1 (public appeals to implementation of actions aimed at violating the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation) and 282 (incitement of hatred or enmity, and humiliation of human dignity) of the criminal code of Russia.

That FSB officers came to the editorial office of “echo of Moscow”, said on his Twitter chief editor of the radio station Alexei Venediktov on Tuesday, July 5. He added that the interrogation was caused by the site editor Vitaly Xena.

First Deputy chief editor of “Echo,” Vladimir Varfolomeyev in conversation with RBC said that in the first half of July, several employees of the online publication received the agenda on interrogation in FSB.

Questioning Xena, as Venediktov wrote on Twitter, held on 7 July. In an interview with RBC Xena confirmed that the case he has the status of a witness.
