Chaika urged to stop the work of “putting obstacles” fishermen, officials

Ministry and Prosecutor General’s office will establish a working group on the monitoring of law enforcement practices against fishermen. This was stated by Russian Prosecutor General Yury Chaika at the joint session of the two departments in Khabarovsk, reports TASS.

“We love to eat at the same time, officials are putting obstacles sea fishermen. They don’t understand that if people do not work, the fish is not caught, and on the table nothing will happen. Our task is to prevent such officials, so they know their place”, —said Chaika.

He explained that the new body will be to analyze the situation with the problems in the fishing industry. “The results of our joint work, our colleagues and we will inform the President and the government”, — said the Prosecutor General.

According to the Deputy of the state Duma Irina Yarovaya, who also participated in the meeting, the parliamentarians will monitor the practical application of legislation on fisheries.
