TFR opened a criminal case under part 3 of article 293 of the criminal code (negligence, entailed on imprudence death of two and more persons) in connection with the death of children on the Syamozero in Karelia, stated in a press release of the Ministry. According to the official representative of the RCDS Vladimir Markin, the investigation aims to find out the root cause of the incident, which allegedly “are in the organization of children’s leisure”.
“According to investigators, negligence and improper performance of duties by officials of state Executive bodies and Supervisory bodies of the Republic of Karelia have been affected, including the situation in which killed vacationers minors,” — said Markin.
The official representative of vedomstva noted that complaints of violations that allowed the management of LLC “Park Hotel “Syamozero”, the authorities and the Supervisory authorities of Karelia have received in the last year. However, officials in the course of the year did not take any action within its powers, said Markin.
“As believes a consequence, the work of the camp it was necessary either to suspend or to close. Instead, the authorities have repeatedly issued necessary permission to the leadership of the Park hotel for further implementation activities during the summer holidays of minors”, — explained in the TFR.

A case of negligence was consolidated into one proceeding with the case under part 3 of article 238 of the RF criminal code (fulfillment of works or rendering services not meeting safety requirements, entailing death of two or more persons). It was initiated TFR immediately after the incident. In its framework was already arrested Director of “the Park hotel “Syamozero” Elena Reshetova, her Deputy Vadim Vinogradov and instructors Regina Ivanova and Lyudmila Vasilyeva.
