The head of the all-Russia Association of fans (VOB) Alexander Spriggina was detained in France, and soon he will be deported from the country. About this TASS said the Consul General of Russia in Marseille Sergey Molchanov.

“Yeah, I can confirm that he [Spragin] detained. He was detained at the stadium [in Toulouse] and sent to the police station at the airport”, he explained.

The decision on the deportation of Spriggina was taken on June 16. Molchanov said that the head of the VOB arrived in France from Spain, and a ban on entry to the country started to operate from today. The Consul General said that “today or tomorrow he will be expelled and sent home”.

June 14 was arrested on a bus with 44 Russians who went to Lille for the match between Russia and Slovakia. As reported Spragin RBC, the decision was accepted in connection with sharp deterioration of state of health of the English fans, who got in a fight in Marseille. Later the man died.

The French authorities decided to deport the head of the EO and 20 Russian fans for security reasons, because they saw the “potential threat”.
