Astakhov reported about 15 people killed in a boating accident in Karelia children

The number of children killed in the crash of a boat on the Syamozero in Karelia has increased to 15 people. This was reported in his Twitter the children’s Ombudsman Pavel Astakhov.

“According to the latest found 15 bodies of dead children in Karelia. A terrible tragedy, bitter losses. Sincere condolences to all relatives,” he wrote.

Earlier official representative SKR Vladimir Markin said that the accident happened on the Syamozero killed 14 children of 2002-2004 year of birth. Adults among the victims, he said.

The evening of 18 June 47 students vacationing in the children’s camp “Park-Hotel “Sjamozero”, and four instructors were caught in a storm while floating on the boat on the Syamozero, in the course of which the boat capsized.

In fact the incident TFR opened a criminal case under part 3 of article 238 of the RF criminal code (fulfillment of works or rendering services not meeting safety requirements, entailing death of two or more persons).

At the moment on the case and arrested four suspects: the Director of “the Park hotel “Syamozero” Elena Reshetova, her Deputy, Vadim Vinogradov, as well as instructors Regina Ivanova and Lyudmila Vasilyeva.
