Employee of the OSCE has lost in the Donbass

A member of the special OSCE monitoring mission was missing in the Donbass. This was reported on the page of the organization’s mission in Ukraine in Facebook.

“SMM #OSCE can confirm that one of the local employees of the mission in the Luhansk region has not returned from holiday on 7 June as planned”, stated in the message. The police was informed about the incident.

Later the organization reported that, according to available information, he is in Donetsk. “We are in contact with the relevant people to resolve this issue. We demand his immediate and unconditional release,” said in the message.

In early April the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that the Donbass it is necessary to place an armed police mission in the OSCE.

In early June, Russian foreign Minister Sergei Lares said that Russia is ready to compromise and agree to a decision of the OSCE observer group on the demarcation line in the Donbas was granted the right to carry personal weapons.
