Security removed the cordon around the White house, imposed after an unknown person threw a metal object at the residence of the American President. This was announced by the representative of the US Secret service, responsible for protecting top officials, Sean Holtzclaw, reports Reuters.
According to him, the White house returned to “normal operation”. “The man threw a metal object over the North fence of the White house. Secret service personnel immediately detained him. The arrest took place without incident,” said Holtzclaw.
He noted that the examination of suspicious objects did not reveal in it anything dangerous.
The incident occurred at about 12:15 local time Monday. Around this time, President Barack Obama returned from the ceremony at Arlington cemetery, which he visited on the occasion of memorial Day. The security personnel immediately threw a security cordon around the presidential residence.
