“Rosneft” and the Greek Hellenic Petroleum SA signed an agreement on oil supplies. This was reported on the website of the Russian company.
The document was signed by the head of “Rosneft” Igor Sechin and Executive Director of Hellenic Petroleum SA Grigoris Stergioulas. “The agreement brings the cooperation with the Greek partners to a new level, because it lays the basis for the conclusion of direct contracts with Hellenic Petroleum for the supply of oil and other raw materials for oil refineries in Greece”, — explained in “Rosneft”. Through this document, the Russian company will be able to implement Hellenic Petroleum produced petroleum products for the purpose of bunkering and trading.
The agreement “will increase economic efficiency in the implementation of Rosneft’s crude oil and petroleum products” and also will allow us to offer the Greek side “more attractive pricing and flexible formats of supply”. As stated by Igor Sechin, the agreement will also allow to strengthen the trading division of his company.
About the upcoming signing of an agreement on Friday said the Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov, however, he did not specify its details. The Russian head of Minenergo Alexander Novak in July last year, said that Moscow “intends to support the recovery of the Greek economy by expanding cooperation in the energy sector and exploring the possibility of organizing a direct supply of raw materials to this country.
