Education Minister Dmitry Livanov sacked the rector of Altai state technical University and Alexander Sitnikov Igor Minirena, head of Sakhalin state University. This is stated in the press service of the Ministry of education, received by RBC.
As explained in the Ministry, Altai University “due to the delays in filing and are currently working without accreditation”. In turn, Sakhalin, the University functioned without it 90 days, explained in a press-service of the Ministry of education.
“As a result of this negligence of the management of universities creates many problems among students, — said Livanov, — students lose deferment from the army, there is a risk that students will not receive scholarships and social payments”. As stated by the Minister, the Director can not hold office if he is unable to enforce the law.
