Far East district military court in Khabarovsk has started consideration of criminal case concerning the former management of “Dalspetsstroy” and former speaker of the Khabarovsk regional Duma of embezzlement of funds during the construction of the Vostochny space centre. About it has informed journalists a press-the court Secretary Anna Tarasenkova, reports “RIA Novosti”.
She noted that the hearing will be held behind closed doors because the study of case materials involves the study of information constituting a state secret. Victims of the case found the enterprise “Dalspetsstroy” at Spetsstroy Russia and the state Corporation “Roscosmos”, said Troshenkova.
The defendants in the case on embezzlement in the construction of the cosmodrome in the Amur region include the former head of “Dalspetsstroy” Yuri chrisman, his son Michael, the chief accountant of the enterprise Vladimir Ashikhmin, as well as former speaker of the regional Duma Viktor Chudov.
According to investigators, in 2006-2009 Chrisman with his son, and Chudov, acting in an organized group, was kidnapped by 106 million RUB., which belonged to the company. As follows from the materials of the case, the partners designed the purchase of building materials at inflated prices controlled by the company. Chrisman and Ashikhmin, according to investigators, abused official powers with the use of advances by 11 state contracts for the purposes not related with the construction of the spaceport, causing the damage to the state at 5.2 billion rubles.
The Vostochny cosmodrome began in 2011. The construction was accompanied by the complaints of the workers have not been paid, as well as criminal cases against subcontractors of the company, which led the construction. 28 April 2016, the first launch from the spaceport.
