Putin said about stopping work 80 employees of foreign intelligence services

FSB managed to prevent the performance of 80 personnel employees of foreign special services in Russia. This was stated by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin at a meeting with officers, the report said the Kremlin.

He noted that the recent systematic work of the FSB has reduced the level of terrorist threat. “By the counterintelligence suppressed the activity of 80 employees of foreign intelligence services, identified more than 350 agents and persons suspected of illegal activity. We must continue correctly, offensive to work in these areas,” said the President.

In April, the Russian courts sentenced two citizens of Lithuania Eugene Matitis (also a Russian citizen) and Aristides Tamosaitis. They were sentenced to 13 and 12 years of imprisonment sootvetstvenno. Both were found guilty of espionage.
