The taxi services have warned about the price increase because of the proposals of the Ministry of transport

In RBC were amendments to the bill “About state regulation of activity on transportation of passengers and Luggage by automobile taxi in the Russian Federation…”, developed by the Ministry of transport. The bill was in 2014 adopted in first reading. Amendments to the second reading of the Ministry of transport started to cook more in 2015, has already released several versions. The amendments introduce also the responsibility of the aggregator to passengers for the quality of services. The interlocutors RBC in several major online taxi aggregators resemble that are the intermediaries between passengers and carriers, and cannot bear such responsibility. At Uber, “Yandex.Taxi” and Gett the corresponding item is in agreement with the users.

Lysakov proposes to introduce in the bill the definition of “dispatching service”, that is, to legally form a business definition of online aggregators (member prepares his version of the amendments).

The representative of the Ministry of transport was limited to a review that will consider all proposals and then the government will take a decision. Representatives Gett, “Yandex.Taxi” and Uber refused to discuss the project.
