The court in Kiev refused to accept the claim of Gazprom to recover $3.2 billion

Economic court of Kyiv refused to consider the complaint of “Gazprom” on the decision of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU), stratopause Russian company 86 billion hryvnia (about $3.2 billion). The statement “Gazprom” returned to him by the court without consideration.

“The statement of claim to JSC “Gazprom” challenging the decision of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine on imposing a fine returned without consideration. The reason for the return was the improper registration of the statement of claim, namely the failure to provide evidence of authority of the person signing the claim”, — stated in the message the press service of the Economic court of Kiev in Facebook.

Yesterday it was reported that Gazprom filed a lawsuit the claim about cancellation of the AMCU imposed a fine, and did it on the last day allotted for the appeal period.

The decision to impose on Gazprom a heavy fine was made of the AMC on January 22, 2016. The Agency then explained that “Gazprom” for nearly six years had abused its monopoly position on the market of gas transit through the territory of Ukraine and infringe the interests of the company “Naftogaz of Ukraine”.

To pay the penalty to “Gazprom” gave two months, during the same period, according to the regulations the AMC, the Russian company is obliged to stop violating the Antimonopoly legislation of Ukraine and agreed with “Naftogaz” new, “reasonable” terms and conditions of gas transit.
