Moscow authorities plan to introduce new restrictions for vehicles, which negatively affects the ecological situation in the capital. About it in interview to portal mos.ru said the head of the Moscow Department of nature use and environmental protection Anton Kulbachevsky.
“In the medium term it is planned to ban entry of trucks below Euro-3, and within the road — the trucks below “Euro-2”, — said the official.
He reminded that from 1 January 2016 Moscow switched to selling fuel is not below the standard “Euro-5” and added that in other subjects of the Russian Federation, this requirement will come into force in July 2016.
The kulbachevsky noted that the amount of harmful emissions from vehicles over the past five years has declined by about 100 thousand tons.
March 1, 2013 in Moscow imposed a ban on the entry of trucks on MKAD in daytime (from 06:00 to 22:00). As of September 1, 2015 the buses below the standard “Euro-3” was banned from entering the MKAD and the traffic on the ring road.
