Net retail sales of PJSC “Magnit” for January—March 2016 amounted 254,435 billion rubles, which is 16,59% exceeds the results of the first quarter of the previous year, follows from materials of the company.
It is noted that one of the growth factors was the fact that in 2016 in February was 29 days and not 28 like in 2015.
The highest increase in revenue demonstrated belonging to the “Magnet” drogerie stores selling non-food consumer goods (cosmetics, perfumes, hygiene products). Three months revenues were $ 13,937 billion rubles, which is almost twice (+90,84%) exceeds the result of January—March of previous year (7,303 bn).
“Family” shops “Magnet” for the first quarter of 2016 increased revenues by 40,75%, convenience stores — 15.32 percent, and hypermarkets — less than 2%.
The total number of “Magnit” stores by the end of March 2016 increased to 12 thousand 434. In the first three months of 2016, the Bank’s network increased by 345 shops, total selling area of approximately 21.2%.
