The Central Bank has promised not to impose restrictions for currency exchange

The Central Bank of Russia does not intend to introduce additional restrictions for currency exchange. About it in interview to the program “Vesti on Saturday” said the head of the Central Bank Elvira Nabiullina.

“No action on the introduction of foreign exchange restrictions, we do not consider. Now there is a bill that will allow citizens, when they exchange the amount to 40 thousand rubles to do it without a passport”, — she said (quoted by TASS)

Nabiullina stressed that, if a person exchanges amounts to 100 thousand rubles, according to the bill, its identification will occur in a simplified manner.

In addition, Nabiullina said that in the near future the Central Bank does not intend to raise tariffs CTP.

The last time changes to the price of CTP occurred in April of last year. Then the tariff on CTP increased on average by 40%. In addition, the Central Bank imposed a tariff corridor in 20%, because insurance companies now can increase the value of CTP by 60%.

In interview to the program “Vesti on Saturday” Nabiullina also spoke about the intention of the Central Bank to reduce the key rate. However, she noted that this will not happen at the expense of inflation. The head of the Central Bank also said that economic growth is necessary to improve the investment climate and structural reforms. At the end of March Nabiullina already announced a possible reduction of the key rate as inflation.
