Aksenov advised the Crimeans to travel to Ukraine through Rostov region

The head of the Crimea Sergey Aksenov advised residents of the Republic not to cross the Russian-Ukrainian border with the Peninsula. He said this in an interview with TASS.

“Crimeans are advised not to drive through that border. In my opinion, it is better to cross the border from other regions in the Rostov region. One way or another through other regions to leave”, — said the head of the Republic.

From today, the Ukrainian activists from the formation of the “Asker” has begun to bear jointly with border guards on duty on the border with Crimea. As previously reported by the speaker of the state border service of Ukraine Oleg Slobodyan, the activists will have Advisory functions: they can not directly intervene in the work of control services at the administrative border with the Crimea or to examine documents, or to inspect the Luggage. Activists can only “only to recommend or advise something”.

According to the head of staff of the “Asker” and the initiator of the blockade of Crimea Lenur Islyamov, to be patrolled will be of Henichesk, Kalanchak and Chaplinka districts of Kherson region. Islyamov stressed that “this is not the fight against extremism and separatism, and the fight with looting, with such elementary things as the theft of personal property from people.”
