The total revenue of PJSC “Magnit” following the results of 2015 amounted to more than 950,6 billion rubles, which is 24.5% more than the previous year’s result of the largest grocery retailer of Russia, prepared in accordance with international financial reporting standards (IFRS).
Earlier it was reported that the revenue of “Magnet” in 2015 compared with the previous year increased by 24.3% (up to 947,8 bn) that became the lowest indicator over the last ten years.
Revenue growth in the company connect with increase in sales at previously opened stores (+6,25%), as well as a sharp increase in the number of company-controlled stores. For the year in Russia total number of stores “Magnit” increased by 2378, which provided the increase in the total retail space on 22,92%.
More than half of newly opened retail outlets amounted to so-called “convenience stores” (1250). At the same time “the Magnet” almost doubled the number of its owned stores drogerie, which sells nonfood consumer goods (cosmetics, perfumes, hygiene products). During the year of stores opened more than a thousand, as a result their total number has reached 2121.
By the end of 2015 “Magnit” belonged to 12 thousand 89 stores, including 9594 “shop at home”, 219 hypermarkets and 155 stores “Magnit Family”.
The average bill amount for the year increased stores of all types (including in stores on 8,14%), but the attendance of most of the “old” shops have slightly decreased, traffic growth showed only drogerie (+to 5.62%). However, due to the opening of many new stores the total number served “Magnet” customers, compared with 2014 increased by 14,08% (attendance drogerie thus jumped immediately on 73,65%).
Net profit of PJSC “Magnit” for the year 2015 increased compared with the previous year by 23,85% to about 59,06 bn In the same time the dollar income of the company because of falling of ruble exchange rate decreased by 21,93% from $1.24 bn to $968,9 million
