An alleged participant in the attack in Belgium was twice deported from Turkey

Turkey twice last year deported a suspected member of the terrorist attacks in Brussels, Brahim al-Basrawi — in July and August. About this Reuters said a source in the Turkish government.

A second senior official confirmed this information and reported that initially, in July, the reason for the deportation became suspicions of the police regarding the fact that he is a foreign insurgent, but it hasn’t been proven. The source also described the expulsion of al-Basrawi as “administrative deportation”.

The day before, on March 23, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Brahim al-Basrawi — was deported from Turkey in the summer of 2015. According to him, the Embassy of Belgium then received a corresponding letter, but did not take the necessary measures. The authorities have also failed to establish his connection with terrorists, so al-Basrawi was released.

In Brussels on 22 March there was a series of terrorist attacks, whose victims were more than 30 people. Responsibility for what happened took over, not a terrorist organization “Islamic state”.

According to the investigation, Brahim al-Batrawi made up at the airport, and his brother Khalid in the subway. Another alleged terrorist, Najim, Laasri, wanted.
