The killing of children by the Ukrainian pianist has accused his wife

Wife of the renowned Ukrainian pianist Vadym Kholodenko is accused of murdering their two daughters, reports Reuters referring to the police.

The murder occurred in the house where the family lived Vadym Kholodenko, in the city of Benbrook (Texas). The musician’s wife, Sofya Tsygankova is accused in the death of daughters — five year-old Nicky and Michela.

Vadym Kholodenko, arriving home on Thursday, March 17, daughters found dead in their bedroom, and his wife “in extreme poor condition [“extreme state of distress”]”, writes The Dallas Morning News. According to the initial reports, the bodies of girls found no visible signs of injuries. Police are awaiting a toxicology report.

According to the chief of police of Benbrook David Babcock, the children died as a result of “lethal violence”. However, he did not specify circumstances and causes of death. “We have sufficient reason to believe that she [Sofia Tsygankova] had committed murder,” said Babcock, adding that the police have gathered physical evidence at the crime scene.

Sofia Tsygankova is accused of murder on two counts, which in Texas carries the death penalty.
