European Parliament President Martin Schultz commented on the possible inclusion of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin in the black list of the EU against persons who, in the opinion of Kiev, had fabricated the case of the Ukrainian pilot Nadezhda Savchenko. Schultz’s statement was made at a press conference in the framework of the EU summit, which started on 17 March in Brussels.

According to Interfax, Schultz confirmed that he had received the list from the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and noted that not all listed there of the person can be included in the blacklist of the European Union.

He noted that the discussion proposed by Kiev of the list is examined.

Another informed source told Interfax that the list includes, in particular, the head of FSB Alexander Bortnikov, the Chairman of the RCDS Alexander Bastrykin, first Deputy foreign Minister Vladimir Titov. According to the interlocutor of the Agency, under the new sanctions can enter and Chapter LNR Igor Carpentry, as well as a number of citizens of Ukraine.
