Al-Qaeda took responsibility for attacks on tourists in côte d’ivoire

The North African grouping “al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb” has claimed responsibility for the attack on tourists in côte d’ivoire. About it reports Reuters referring to the SITE Intelligence Group that monitors online publications radical Islamists.

The group is a subdivision of the terrorist organization “al-Qaeda” (banned in Russia).

On Sunday night unknown persons shot the holidaymakers on the beach in the resort town of Grand Bassam on the Atlantic ocean in côte d’ivoire. The attack killed 16 people — 14 civilians and two soldiers.

The attackers were armed with grenades and small arms. The head of the Ministry of interior Hamed Bakayoko, said the security forces of the country “neutralized” six terrorists.

The nationalities of all the victims is not yet established. However, it was reported that among the victims there is a citizen of France.
