The head of Sberbank Herman Gref is not going to enter into the composition of the Supervisory Board of Vnesheconombank. He said this to journalists, reports TASS.
Answering the question, is it true that it will be included in the updated Supervisory Board of the Bank, Gref said: “it is not True, I and the web is a different organization. We have no relationship except that our guys went [to the web]”.
In February 2016 TASS reported that Gref cannot enter into the Supervisory Board of VEB. As he wrote RBC, a source close to Sberbank, also claimed that the government wants to attract Gref to solve problems on the web. According to the interlocutor of RBC in the government believe that Gref will help to build a system in which VEB will conduct the examination of projects in which invest money, not to make loans “under the pointer”.
At the same time, RBC with reference to a source close to VEB, reported that the post of head of VEB Deputy tipped Gref Sergey Gor. Later this information was confirmed on February 26, Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent in resignation the head of Corporation Vladimir Dmitriev and appointed in his place Gor.
The Supervisory Board is highest management body of the Bank. Currently it is headed by the Chairman of the government Dmitry Medvedev. Also in the Council include first Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov, Deputy Prime Ministers Arkady Dvorkovich, Dmitry Kozak and Alexander Khloponin, the presidential aide Andrei Belousov, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov, Minister of economic development Alexei Ulyukayev and Sergei Gorkov.
